By Car: The adventure to Cape Drastis starts with a picturesque 40-kilometer drive from Corfu Town. Renting a car is super easy, and it gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Be sure to stop along the way to soak up the local charm and maybe grab a bite at one of the cozy tavernas. The final stretch to Cape Drastis is a narrow, bumpy road—so drive carefully and get ready for the view of a lifetime.

By Bus: No car? No worries! If you decide to use public transportation, take the green bus from Corfu Town to Agios Stefanos. However, make sure you get off beforehand, as you have to get off at Peroulades Village. It is best to check this via GPS or ask the bus driver to let you know in good time. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Cape Drastis.

By Cab: For those who prefer a more relaxed journey, a cab ride from Corfu Town to Cape Drastis is a hassle-free option. It’s a bit pricier than the bus but offers the comfort and convenience of door-to-door service. Plus, you can chat with your local driver and maybe get some insider tips on other hidden gems around the island.

Best Things to do at Cape Drastis

As you approach Cape Drastis, the landscape transforms into a breathtaking panorama of rugged cliffs and azure waters. For the boat tour, it is best to walk to Gravas Cove Viewpoint & Boat Rental. Here you can take a water cab directly to the cape. As the lower beach and the rugged little cliffs are only accessible from the water, the only way to get down is by boat. The boat trip from Gravas Cove only takes a few minutes and offers spectacular views. After an agreed time, you will be picked up again by boat and taken back to the starting point. The transfer only costs around 20-30 euros (22-32 USD).

Sunset Viewing

Cape Drastis is renowned for its stunning sunsets. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky explodes in a symphony of colors, casting a magical glow over the cliffs and sea. The charming Taverna Sunset in Peroulades is famous for its delicious Greek dishes and spectacular sunset views. Try the moussaka, souvlaki, and fresh seafood. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it a perfect spot to unwind after a day of adventure.

But this is just one of many great restaurants that you can find in the surrounding towns.

How much time should you plan to visit Cape Drastis?

We did Cape Drastis as a day trip from Corfu Town and found it perfectly adequate. That’s why we recommend spending a day at the cape in this Cape Drastis Travel Guide. In one day you have enough time to enjoy the view from the top, walk a few steps and then take the boat to the lower beach of the cape. Here, too, you have more than enough time to enjoy the sun, take a dip in the water and relax. If you want to explore the cape more intensively, it is a good idea to stay for 2-3 days.

The best time to visit Cape Drastis is during the shoulder seasons (late spring and early autumn). The weather is still warm, but you’ll avoid the peak summer crowds.
